How Long Does It Take for a Spirit to Communicate After Transitioning

One of the most frequent questions I have gotten in recent days is how long it takes for a loved one to communicate with the living after they have transitioned to the spirit world. My standard answer is...it depends...on a lot of things. It's a hard question to answer because not everyone is the same...living or in spirit, but I'm going to try to explain from my own perspective.
