It's Not About You
Time and time again, I have clients who have come to me with the burden of other people's opinions on their shoulders. it weighs them down and saps the joy right out of their day. We were not created to live unhappy or without joy. Quite the opposite.
Whereas life on the human plain is intended as a learning experience for our eternal souls and some of those lessons may be hard, if we would look at our experiences as an opportunity to ascend higher on the spirit plain, we could perhaps see them in a more positive light. Acknowledge them for what they are, a learning moment.
You ask, how do I get past individuals who say or do cruel things toward me? You look in the mirror and tell yourself IT'S NOT ABOUT ME. It truly isn't. It's about who that person is. It could be about the life lessons they chose to come here to learn. Maybe in a past life, they were the person at the receiving end of an ugly person, and they reincarnated into this lifetime determined to find out why. Or maybe they are just so caught up in their own misery they want to try to spread it around like shit on a shit sandwich. Regardless, it isn't about you.
There are several ways you can handle this that are much better than taking the punch they are throwing your way. The first one is to confront the individual Use this line: "Help me understand why you are such a nasty (or insert some other term here) person toward me so that I don't have to assume anything about you that isn't true." Imagine the look on their face when you call them out for what or who they are and ask them to explain themselves.
Of course, there is also something you can do for yourself. You stand in front of the mirror and list all the wonderful things about you as a person. Write them down. And for good measure, use the I AM statement to reinforce that. For example, you write on your mirror I AM THE LIGHT WHO WAS CREATED BY THE DIVINE. Or maybe I AM A LOVING PERSON. When you start speaking to yourself the way you want others to see you, it is uplifting and raises your own spiritual vibration so much that it repels nasty people whose vibrational level is at sewer level.
Finally, there is always the witchy way you can handle it. You can put mirrors facing outwards in your windows to send those nasty thoughts and words back to their originator. You can put them in a jar in the freezer. You write their name on a slip of paper, fold it away from yourself three times. Cut a lemon in half and put the paper inside of the lemon and secure it with a rusty nail. With the strong intention of freezing them out of your life completely. I cannot stress enough that you do this with every bit of emotion you can muster up as you say the words: "Sour are your words, sour is your life. I nail you inside your own misery and away from me. These words I say with intent, so mote it be." Stick the lemon in a jar and cover it with water, put it in the freezer and walk away. (There are three jars in my freezer to this day)
The bottom line here is that I cannot stress enough that how people treat you isn't about you. Don't let it be. Don't let it hurt you. Recognize the person for what they are...a shitty individual that is influenced by their own ego. Let it go and be happy. You are a wonderful person...a perfect person in the Creator's eyes. Don't ever forget that.
