They Don't Want You to Mourn Forever
I recently had a question from a client...what is the acceptable time to mourn before moving on? That's a very good question. And it's very personal. However, I can give some general insight to this topic.
First of all, our loved ones don't expect us to mourn them forever...if at all. Remember, our spirits/souls are eternal. When a person transitions to spirit, they aren't dying, only their human body dies. Their soul lives on for eternity. So does yours. and everyone else's. Because of this, you aren't telling them goodbye when they leave their humanly body, you are telling them you will see them later. Because you will.
We all come here to learn lessons in the biggest classroom of the vast universe. What we want to learn is decided by our soul long before we ever inhabit a human body. Some spiritualist teachers and mentors even say we determine when we will make our way back to the spirit world and even how. That we outline our human life before we ever become human.
Back to the question at hand. Which I'm going to answer with a question. Do you really think that a loved one wants you to mourn them for the rest of your own human life? Do they expect you to stop living your own life? To sacrifice the opportunities that come your way? Or to never love another individual? Think about it. We are love. We are destined to love and be loved. Just because our loved one went home to spirit doesn't mean they don't still love you or that you can't still love them. But the best way to show love is to honor them, remember them, and be happy for them. To do that, you have to be happy yourself. That's what they would want. They no longer have an ego to be jealous or hurt because their loved one moved on when they were no longer there.
Again, it's personal. Individual. And grief is a natural part of living in the human realm. Love is the answer and love for another soul never dies...it just changes. Many blessings to each of you.
