What is Witchcraft?

The simple answer here is that witchcraft is what you make it. It's a uniquely personal practice. Regardless of whether you choose to gather as part of a coven or be a sole practitioner. Both of which are individual choices. I choose to practice by myself because I don't necessarily agree with the collective opinion of any coven.
So, let's start with that. Opinions. I keep hearing in my mind that opinions are like assholes. Everyone has them and they all stink. I regress. Even more so today, the opinions of certain collectives do not resonate with how I feel or believe. And that is fine. Everyone is entitled to believe or feel however they want. That's true freedom.
We are free to make choices. Choices which will lead to either rewards or consequences. Good karma or bad karma if you will. And sometimes that karma is something we provide to others. When we do a return to sender spell, we are sending something toward another person. One comment from a well-known practitioner of the craft pops up right now. "A witch who cannot hex...cannot heal." A hex. A way to get even with someone who has wronged us. So, yes, I have hex before. And it was--if anything--freeing. Like through my hex, I had let it go and given it to the universe to take care of.
Witchcraft, in itself, is not a religion. It is a spiritual practice. Therefore, I don't subscribe to any particular religion, nor do I hold it against anyone who does subscribe to a particular religion. However, I do not stand for anyone's religion spewing hatred for someone else or hurting other people in the name of religion. Nor do I believe in people who make fun of others for their beliefs. I was raised by parents who were Christian. I have a Bible by my nightstand just like I have other reference books on my bookshelves. I believe there was a great spiritual teacher who walked the earth named Jesus. And I believe he came from the Creator. I don't believe in Hell or demons, and I believe it is child abuse to tell children who misbehave that they are going to burn for eternity in hell. And there are good witches and bad witches just like there are good ministers and bad ministers. How else would you describe a Catholic priest who molests little boys?
As a practitioner of witchcraft, I also pray. to our Creator. Then I listen for answers through meditation. That's my spiritual relationship with our Creator. We had to be created...right? I mean, I know that I wasn't from some bird who pooped on a rock and the wind, rain and sun grew me into a human. I know, I'm trying to be sarcastic here. Our souls are made by our Creator and then we make the choice of reincarnating into our human body so that we can come and learn with the rest of the souls who are stuck in human bodies. Until we are ready to go back to where we came. Heaven. The spirit realm. Whatever you want to call it. Every soul goes back there regardless of what good or bad deeds they committed here on earth in our human bodies.
My spirit guides are telling me to stop here. But there will be a part two. Maybe even a part three or four or more....
Have a wonderful week my dear fellow souls trapped in your human body...
